Technology changes. The overview stays.

A new device, a different routine, a firmware update: even a well-documented installation evolves. We offer ongoing care within the agreed scope. A small extension should not mean starting again with the question of where the right cable is.

What we prepare for a system that can be supported.

  • Equipment register: Make models, locations, roles and important dependencies easy to identify.
  • Function documentation: Explain scenes, switches, conditions and manual overrides clearly.
  • Backups: Agree suitable configuration backups and a recovery approach.
  • Change records: Document adjustments with the date, reason and function affected.
  • User guidance: Name the right contacts and explain what to do when something goes wrong.

Updates with a plan.

We assess new versions for relevance and compatibility. Before significant changes, we arrange a suitable backup, maintenance window and function check. If an integration changes or a manufacturer discontinues support, we assess the impact and discuss alternatives.

Depending on the commission, regular checks, remote assistance or monitoring may be part of ongoing care. Remote access uses a suitable secured solution and agreed permissions. A support arrangement does not automatically mean 24-hour monitoring.

Support with context.

In the customer portal, you can create a ticket using an activated account. The property, affected device, error message and time help us understand the issue. Documentation makes it easier to find the relevant connections.

Scope, intervals and response times are agreed individually. We plan care around your installation and record which tasks remain with you or another specialist business.

Clear documentation is not an extra. It saves a great deal of “Hang on, how did we do that?” when the next issue comes along.

Support needs an agreement. Not a master key.

If remote maintenance is useful, we agree and document access, permissions and approvals with you. Permanent access from outside is not required for local control. We explain how optional encrypted access through Nabu Casa can work in the article Local control and carefully managed access.
