Less searching. More understanding.
The lights are in one app and the heating in another. The blinds have a remote nobody can find. Tailored visualisation brings relevant information and controls together on a wall tablet, phone or screen.
Design starts with a simple question: who needs which information here? A family needs a different overview from reception staff, a holiday guest or the maintenance team.
From building systems to household appliances.
Programme status, remaining time, room temperature, open windows, cleaning progress or music playback: a suitable integration makes this information and these controls available in Home Assistant. Individual values and functions are called “entities”. We organise them around your everyday life, rather than the name of the manufacturer’s app.
Alongside the lights, you can see that the laundry is ready, check the robot vacuum’s status and reach the music controls. Available values and commands depend on the device and interface. Explore connected-device examples.
The right information in the right place.
- Living: Show rooms, lighting scenes, temperatures and open windows clearly.
- Energy: Make sense of generation, consumption and battery levels where suitable measurements are available.
- Guests: A few clear functions instead of technical menus. Choose a scene, adjust the room temperature and read the important information.
- Support: Show faults, battery warnings and agreed maintenance items where they are useful.
The best interface is not needed all the time.
A good-looking dashboard alone does not make an intelligent solution. If we get it right, recurring tasks run automatically in a way that suits daily life. Lighting responds to presence and brightness, an evening scene combines several steps, and relevant exceptions are reported clearly.
The dashboard remains available for an overview and deliberate adjustments. Wall switches stay where they make sense. Voice control can help, but should not be the entrance ticket to your own lighting.
ART–SMART: design can have character.
A calm room view, a dark technical panel or a colour accent that suits the architecture: we design controls around the property. A lighting installation can become part of the interior concept, too. Readability, understandable states and simple operation remain essential.
